Faux Fur Pink Coat

Hi friends! Sorry for going MIA once again. Turns out when you don't feel well, even the simplest tasks become a challenge. I've gotten some questions about what the latest is with my health, if I got approved for the LA study, etc. As of now I don't have any definitive answers or what our game plan is. Once I have an update I'll be sure to share :) Thank you again for all your love and support, it truly keeps me going.

Now for this outfit - how cute is this coat? I know some of you are probably thinking it's a little ridiculous to wear a thick faux fur coat like this in the Spring, but Colorado isn't done giving us surprise snow days, so I haven't packed up my fun winter layers just yet. I also feel like this is a piece that can be worn into the spring and transition you from those cooler temps. It's a fun statement piece you can layer over anything (think dresses, shorts, etc.). Also, this particular jacket isn't as heavy as you'd think so you definitely won't be burning up. Plus, this blush color is so trendy right now making it that much more of a great transition piece.

Let's chat about these jeans for a second. If you follow me on Snapchat (@mallorysauer), then you may have seen me struggle to get this pair off because the ankles are so tight. That is still 100% true. I don't know why the ankles are so tight, but it definitely makes them challenging to get on and off. The rest of the jeans fit great (from the calf up). It could just be me but I wanted to give a fair warning. Other than the tight ankle issue, I love these jeans. They look so cute with everything. The distressing is so cute and the wash/color is perfect. And they're under $60! I'm determined to find a way to make them work.

That's all I have for now. Have a great week my loves!

Lavender Bomber + Metallic Loafers

Thank you for all the kind words and support on my last post. I really appreciate all the love and support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

So it's really no secret that I LOVE easy throw-on outfits (hence my recent post). This outfit is no exception. I tend to live in leggings and t-shirts lately (THIS t-shirt is my new obsession, I have in three colors - it's a MUST have), but that can get so boring after a while. I love that cute bomber jackets and fun shoes/accessories can make a simple outfit a little more interesting. As we transition into warmer weather, light jackets like this are a perfect item to have in your wardrobe. Lightweight bomber jackets like this come in tons of cute colors and styles lately. Bonus, they're such an easy piece to throw on over a basic tee.

Now for these shoes - if you don't have a pair of metallic loafers (or any loafers for that matter), you're missing out. I am LOVING wearing comfy slide on shoes (like THESE super cute ones) with jeans or leggings - they're just easy and cute! Shout out to Gucci for starting this fun trend. I especially love the metallic ones, though, because they just take things up a notch. I have both a silver and gold pair of metallic loafers and its so fun to pair simple jeans and a tee and let the shoes stand out. What do you guys think of the trend? Are you on board?

Lastly, I've been wanting to try some Charlotte Tilbury makeup because I've heard such great things. I caved and bought the magic foundation, setting powder, and magic cream. The gal at the counter tested all of this on my face and when I saw some friends after they raved about how great my makeup looked. So I'm fairly convinced the purchases were worth it. I am nervous about the magic cream though. I just hope it delivers and makes a difference in my skin with the price tag. Has anyone tried it? I'd love to know what you think!

Long Black Tunic

What's happening everyone? Hope life has ben treating you well lately! I've slowly been getting back on my feet after being sick. Turns out I had pneumonia forming - go figure. But I'm on the mend and back in business.

What do you think of this top? It's under $20! I love a head to toe black moment. I live in these leggings lately - not only are they comfortable, but the fabric has a cool shiny look, and they're high-waisted so they're slimming (and hide Gertrude). The perfect pair for dressing up or down - a must have in my opinion. I love how this top just flows over these leggings. Such an easy look that's still chic. You could easily put this look together with things in your closet - nice leggings and a longer tunic. If I have any ostomy friends reading, it's perfect for hiding everything - these leggings are my favorite for that very reason.

How are your New Year's Resolutions going so far? I'll be honest I give myself a B- on mine. This year I wanted to become more organized in all aspects of life, and be healthier. I'm proud to admit the organization is off to a better start than I expected! I cleaned out my closet (oh my gosh I hope you saw the video on my InstaStory sharing the after), I've been better at organizing my calendar and events, and for health, I've not only stuck to all my routine appointments, but I've made appointments to see holistic doctors, acupuncture, etc. - anything to help make myself as healthy as possible.

Speaking of the new year, is there anything you want to see more or less of on Sweet & Sauer? I have some ideas of more things I want to include, but I also want to hear from you! Nothing is off limits, I'd love to hear what you'd like to see more of on the blog.

P.S. Did you check out the awesome feature Ostomy Connection did on Sweet & Sauer? So cool to be featured! Check it out here.

Have a great week!
