Cold Shoulder Top + Joggers

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful day! And most importantly, Happy Mother's Day to all the bad ass mama's out there. I would be nothing without my mama - shout out to mama Kath for all you do for me.

X Disclaimer X - I do not want to hear anymore comments about how I'm "too thin" and "need to be fed" etc. I've addressed this in multiple blog posts and on my Instagram. Long story short, it's the result of stage 4 cancer and severe crohn's disease with a diverting ileostomy. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all :)

Ok now for this outfit! How AMAZING is this top? I'm so in love with it. It's super lightweight and flowy and just perfect for summer! Yes, it's another cold shoulder top, but I love how this one is a little different because it's not an obvious cold shoulder top at first glance, if you know what I mean. Also, I love the length - It's a little on the shorter side so it could totally be worn as a crop top, however if you aren't into that look, throw on a pair of high-waisted shorts or pants (plus the straps are adjustable). Also, this top is double layered so I didn't feel like I needed to wear a bra. Although you could absolutely pair with a fun bralette for a little more coverage and support. If you saw my last post, then you know how obsessed with these shoes. I haven't found a pair of simple platform sandals like this that are COMFORTABLE in a long time.

Have a wonderful evening!

Long Sleeve OTS Top

Hi friends! Once again I went a little MIA. Man when you don't feel good you just can't get anything done! I have good days and bad days and they are so unpredictable. I had more bad days than good this week, which meant a lot of resting. By the way, I want to say thank you to everyone, once again, for all the kind messages, letters and texts, etc. after my latest health post. I've read every single message sent my way, sometimes it's hard to respond to everything, and for that I apologize, but from the bottom of my heart I am extremely grateful for all the love and support as I go through this.

Holy cow is off the shoulder trending or what? I absolutely love it. Off the shoulder has always been one of my favorite trends. I'm so glad you can find the trend anywhere from tops to rompers. Such a fun look for spring. I can't wait to wear this top (and all the other OTS items I've caved and purchased) with shorts and skirts when it starts to get a little warmer. It was a pretty chilly and windy day when we shot these photos (hence the real messy hair), so pairing these fun rust booties for a pop of color made this outfit feel a little more exciting and weather appropriate, especially when the temp was less than desirable.

The top I'm wearing is from Vici Dolls and is unfortunately sold out, but I've linked some identical ones below. Also, my absolute FAVORITE tee that I live in (and have in 4 colors) is part of the Shopbop Sale going on. I highly recommend snagging one (or two) for yourself at this price while you can. It's slightly oversized, super soft, and has held up in the wash nicely. You can see me wearing them here and here for reference.

Finally, I'm thinking of doing a Q&A post soon. What do you guys think? If you have any questions, send them my way! Nothing is off limits. If I get enough questions then I'll definitely do a post, otherwise I'll just respond to you directly. Feel free to ask in the comments here, on my Instagram, or via email (mallory@sweetandsauer.com).

Have a great weekend my friends!

Happy Monday everyone! Thank you again for all the kind words last week with my Crohn's post. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the love! I'm happy to report the surgery went well and I'm recovering at home. I'm feeling pretty good so far and adjusting to life with my new accessory.

I can't tell you how many compliments I get when I wear this top! It's seriously one of my favorites. It's super comfortable and light-weight. It's perfect for being dressed up or down, which we all know I just love. These shorts... you guys. These are Abercrombie & Fitch shorts from college. I can't believe they still fit. Thank goodness the boyfriend short look is still going strong, right? Don't you just love shopping your closet and finding old treasures that still work?

Now let's talk about this headband. How pretty is it?! I'm such a fan of fashion that gives back, and Headbands of Hope falls right into that category. For every headband purchased, Headbands of Hope gives a headband to a child with cancer. You can read about how the company started here. I already have such a love and appreciation for companies that give back, however this company is particularly special to me as I'm fighting cancer myself. I love that these headbands make these children feel special and good about themselves during such a challenging time. It must be devastating to these kids to lose their hair through chemotherapy. Anything to help make them happy and feel better about themselves makes me happy. Plus, all their headbands are super cute so it's a win win! Fighting health issues is tough and can definitely wear on your self-esteem after a while. I'm all for something that's encouraging and helps others feel good.
