Jewelry from Hyde Park Jewelers #WithLove shop: Stacked bar rings 1, 2 / X ring

Happy Monday everyone! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was pretty low key. Did a lot of 'adulting' (aka errands and chores). Saturday, boyfriend and I went to dinner and then drinks at the Hyatt rooftop bar. It was cool to see Denver from a different perspective. Plus I'm having major FOMO wishing I were in New York for fashion week so I wanted to be up high and pretend I was in the big apple. Yes, I am that cheesy.

This outfit. Oh my gosh. One of my new favorites that I can't wait to wear once the temperature picks up a little. I just love how loose and flowy this dress is. Such an easy and versatile piece - right up my alley. Now this jacket. I absolutely love this piece! It's an effortless piece that makes a statement. The combo of this dress and jacket have a total boho feel - great for spring and totally something I'd wear to a concert. If you've been following my blog for a while then you already know I'm obsessed with these shoes. I seriously wear them all the time. They're cool and, more importantly, comfortable.

Since the jacket was already such a statement piece, I wanted to keep the jewelry simple. I absolutely LOVE these rings. The thin stacked rings are a trend I'm currently obsessing over, and I especially love mixing metals for a fun twist. The X ring was such a cool piece, and different than your traditional cocktail ring. These pieces are definitely 'treat yo self' pieces, and if you're a #girlboss, then you deserve that.

Don't forget, Pink's Boutique will take orders over the phone! If you call or go into the store, let them know I sent you :)

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I was in Lake Tahoe part of last week and through the weekend for a good friends wedding. It was so nice to get away! Plus I've never been to Lake Tahoe before so it was fun to explore. Did you do anything fun this weekend?

This week I'm sharing a dressy look - something different for Sweet & Sauer. While I LOVE my simple and casual outfits, I do love dressing up - especially for work. There's something about throwing on a dressy and professional outfit that just makes you feel like a BOSS. Am I right? Do you recognize this top? I paired the same top with sport shorts (seen here) to dress it down. I love pieces that are versatile. This outfit in particular made me feel like Rachel from the show Suits - which you should definitely watch if you haven't yet. One of my favorite shows.

This outfit also embodies one of my other favorite trends for the summer - white on white. There is something so fresh and clean about the pairing. I've been wearing white on white a ton this summer and letting my accessories and shoes be the statement of the outfit.

ANNOUNCEMENTS!

I have some things to share with you all! First, I finally started a Twitter (@mallorysauer) account specifically for my blog. Be sure to follow me if you have Twitter! Same goes for Snapchat if you haven't added me yet (username: mallorysauer). FINALLY! I was asked to be a Trensetter for the style website Tredabl! This is a really exciting opportunity and I can't wait to share content on the Trendabl website - be sure to check it out!

That's all for now friends, have a wonderful week!

Happy Thursday! This is a fun post for me and seemed fitting for #throwbackthursday. I did a two week Europe trip last September and I've been reminiscing about the trip quite a bit lately. My heart literally aches when I see pictures of Paris or London (like physical pain, sometimes tears) because I just fell so in love with both of those cities and have such special memories from my trip. I wanted to share these pictures from Paris, as well as the story behind them.
My first day in Paris was a nightmare. How is that possible, right? Long story short my hotel was terrifying - like horror movie terrifying. In a panic to find wifi (yes, this place didn't even have wifi) and find myself a new hotel, I met a friend who at the time felt like an angel sent from the heavens. Spoke english, my age, and down to go exploring. We went to the Eiffel Tower and spent time at the park in front of the tower. Enter Alastair Arthur (coolest name ever, right?).
Alastair is a photographer and started speaking to us because he was doing a piece on hats, and my new friend was wearing a hat that worked into Alastair's piece. After we spent time talking I was gushing about Paris Fashion Week (yes, I was in Paris during Fashion Week - swoon) and how I was just dying to have a fashion moment in Paris (think bold lips, bold outfit, cool Paris background), with pictures as a keepsake. Well, Alastair offered to take said photo. Now I was just thinking a quick snap of a few photos on my iPhone and we'll call it a day. Oh but did I get so much more.
The next day I was ready for my fashion moment. Big top knot, check. Obnoxious fur vest, check. Bright pink lip, check. Ready to go! Alastair was kind enough to do a full on photoshoot with me. We met at and took photos at the Louvre, wandered around the Tuileries Garden and ended in front of a fashion show. I was in fashion HEAVEN. The photos, the buzz outside the fashion show, the fact that I was in Paris. These are all memories that I will seriously treasure forever and I'm so thankful to Alastair for taking these photos as a memory of this amazing day.
It's crazy how things happen. Had my hotel been tolerable I never would have met my friend, we never would have wandered to the Eiffel Tower that day, and I never would have met Alastair. These are all things I'm so incredibly grateful for and will cherish for the rest of my life. Crazy how fate works, isn't it?

Some photos before the Nina Ricci show.
Thank you for letting me gush. Until next week!
